Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Lightbulb Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 32 630 439 557), trading as Crafte ("Crafte", "we", "us"), handles personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Crafte and the shops

Crafte is a platform used by independent businesses ("shops") to sell online. When you buy from, book with or join a club at a shop, that shop also receives your information and is responsible for how it uses it. Each shop may have its own privacy policy, which applies in addition to this one.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number, password (stored only as a one-way hash, never readable) and, where needed for alcohol sales, your date of birth
• Delivery and billing addresses
• Orders, subscriptions, club memberships, bookings, notes and ratings you make on the platform
• Payment information: your card is entered into the payment provider's secure page and is stored by that provider. Crafte and the shops see only a reference to the card, its type, last four digits and expiry - never the full card number.
• Messages you send to us or to a shop
• Technical information: IP address, browser type, pages visited and cookies (see below)

How we use it

• To run your account and let you sign in to every shop on Crafte with one login
• To pass your order, booking or membership to the shop you are dealing with so it can supply, deliver, charge and support it
• To send the emails that go with an order, booking or membership, and account emails such as password resets
• To keep the platform secure and prevent fraud and misuse
• To work out how the platform is used and improve it
• To meet our legal obligations

We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them. Each shop's newsletter is that shop's, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

• The shop you buy from, book with or join - it receives what it needs to supply and support you
• Payment providers that process card payments for the shops
• Couriers and delivery services, which receive your name, delivery address and contact details to deliver your order
• Service providers that host the platform and send email for us, under obligations to protect it
• Authorities, where the law requires it

We do not sell personal information.

Overseas

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies

Crafte uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and understand how the site is used. A shop may use analytics tools of its own on its pages. You can block cookies in your browser, but signing in and checking out will not work without them.

Keeping it safe

Information is stored on secured servers, passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, and connections to Crafte are encrypted. We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can view and update most of your details in My account. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing sales@crafte.com.au. You can also ask us to close your account; records a shop must keep by law, such as tax invoices, are kept for the time required.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, email sales@crafte.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
